Kevin, It’s been my pleasure to have had the privilege of working with you one on one for so many years of my tenure with SLC. But it is my ut most honor to be able to say that everything I know about leathercraft and the leather indus try, I’ve learned from the best… you. -Darcie THANK YOU, KEVIN “My family and I appreciate all of your care and support for not only us as individuals, but also the whole SLC family. The few years that I’ve had the opportunity to be here with the crew are just a blip in the time that you’ve been doing business as SLC, but they’ve shaped me as a person for the rest of my life. I am thankful to be a part of the team here and your care shines through every aspect of this company. I appreci ate all of your gifts, your antics, and your exper tise. Thank you for everything, Kevin. You’re a legend!”

Kevin, I’ve been here far too long and have got too old doing so. Yet, I can’t say I regret a bit of it. It’s given me the chance to grow my life into something more than could be expected. I would never have stayed this long if it wasn’t for the fact that we treat people like people. To this day I do my best to make decisions with this in mind. It’s the one thing we can do in this crazy world to make an impact. You’ve left an impact on me. Thanks Chris

I remember a time during a weekly store meeting here at Springfield Leather, that Rusty Darnell was giving us some suggestions on cleanliness of the bathrooms. He made a statement that I have never heard of before. He said “When you leave, look behind you. What have you left for the next person?” I thought about that suggestion for a long time, and it got me to thinkin’. Have I left this room worse, the same, or perhaps better than I found it? What have I left behind? What have we left behind? It is Kevin’s 25th Anniversary here at SLC and I was thinking about Kevin and what he has left behind. He has built something Good that goes beyond a thriving brick and mortar store. He has helped fulfill the dreams of leather crafters all over the world. He has helped provide jobs and stability for the folks that want to be a part of this endeavor. He has provided a good economic service to our community. He has a wonderful wife and family that support him. He has an outstanding, humble character, unmatched really, in our current society.
