About two pounds of vegetable tanned leather pieces that are great for small projects like sheaths, small holsters, coasters, strops and much more. These mid to heavyweight pieces are approximately hand-size, with some a little larger, and some a little smaller. This is a mix of heavy and lightweight leather for tooling purposes. These pieces will range from 5 to 10 ounces in thickness. VEG TAN TOOLING LEATHER PIECES -2 lbs #144-70770 Aquilim 315 is a water-based contact adhesive and can be used for almost any leather project. The bonding strength is incredible and is comparable to solvent-based adhesives. It is manufactured in Germany and has been used for many years in the shoe making industry. You could say that this stuff is a step up from what you've probably used before! This stuff is FANTASTIC for veg tans! Just thinly spread the glue on the flesh side of the leather, wait for it to clear, then slap the two pieces together...and voila! If you are placing it on the grain side, just rough it up a bit before applying the glue. Safe to use indoors. No harsh smell or vapors! RENIA AQUILIM 315
3lb. remnant bag #144-2102
This 3 lb. Mystery Remnant Pack consists of a variety of assorted leather remnants that could include anything from veg tan, oil tan, and buffalo leathers to upholstery, lining, and printed/embossed... you might even get a random pre-cut part or two, who knows! The pieces in this pack will vary in size, ranging from palm-sized up to a square foot or even more, and various weights! The catch is that no two bags will be exactly alike, and no specific type of leather is guaranteed... I guess you could say it's a total scrap-shoot! Great for practicing on different types of leathers, or for those wanting to make small leather goods without having to spend a ton of money! Note: Photos are meant to give you an idea of some of the leathers you could get in your pack and are for example only.
